Ron Pippin was a foundational figure in the California Assemblage movement, a tradition of “found object” art that began in the 1950s with masters like Ed Kienholz and Bruce Conner. A graduate of the legendary Chouinard Art Institute<\/strong>\u2014the same institution that produced titans like Ed Ruscha and Robert Irwin\u2014Pippin dedicated over forty years to creating what he called “Visual Prayers.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pippin\u2019s work exists in the fertile ground between 19th-century natural history and a post-industrial future.
